Mi India just launched its first 4K QLED TV priced at ₹54,999 in India. All the MI TV's came before are LED TV's but this time Mi launched first ever QLED TV in India. This is little more expensive than the LED TV. Here I am going to tell you all you know about Mi QLED TV 4K and why it's so expensive.
Display
Let's start with display, it has a 55 inch 4K panel with a QLED technology. What is QLED? There are three types of TV's exist. One with a LED display, it is cost low, but its main disadvantage is back light bleeding. Second one is OLED display, it can turn on and off Individual pixels to achieve inky blacks and vivid picture quality, but it's so expensive. Third type is QLED, it's a middle ground Between these two, it's closer to the LED panel but it has a extra layer called Quantum filter, that help to reduce back light bleeding and improve overall brightness and picture quality.
This TV supports Dolby vision HDR standard and also supports for HDR 10, HDR 10+ and HLG. this panel covers 100% NTSC as well as the 95% of the DCI P3 colour gamut.
Audio
This TV has a improved audio, it comes with a total of six speakers with a total output of 30W. Four of them are regular speakers and other two speakers are tweeters.
This TV gives you a ton of controls over every aspect of the display as well as the sound.
Others
This TV has a three HDMI 2.1 ports on the back, gives you a support for modern consoles. This supports upto 4k 60fps gaming, this TV also has a low latency gaming mode, it reduces latency by 5ms.
Mi increase the storage by 32 GB, previous Mi TV's are comes with 16 GB storage. It has a Mediatek 9611 chip set, it's composed with a four Cortex A55 cores. Along with that it has a 2 GB ram.
Software wise it has same like other Mi TV's, it has a Patchwall based on Android 10, it also has a built in Google Chrome-cast. it has a google assistant support and much more features.
It has a support for most of the streaming platforms including Netflix, Amazon prime and Hotstar. Even a remote comes with a Netflix and Prime TV button on it. Remote also has a dedicated google assistant button.
It has a support for dual band Wi-Fi as well as the wired Ethernet port on the back, optical audio port, three HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB ports and headphone jack.
This TV has a 96% screen to body ratio with a thin aluminium alloy frame, which gives you a nice premium finish.This Mi QLED TV 4K is priced at pretty competitive ₹54,999. At this price I think it is a nice value.
